PhilosophyHoly Family School is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered Catholic community where faith and learning are lived and celebrated through Gospel values, rigorous academic excellence, and service to others. Jesus is the reason and the purpose for our school. We believe in: Worshipping and praying together as one faith community. Educating the whole child so high-academic growth is entwined with religious, emotional and social growth. Building strong partnerships with our families, parishes, and community. Evangelizing by living Jesus’ message and bringing it into every situation and way of life. Learning about and instilling spiritual values and social teachings of the church that help us respond to the local and global needs of others. Individualizing lessons for today’s learners as we help all students realize their full potential as lifelong learners. Encouraging students through their challenges, and celebrating their accomplishments with them. Valuing each person as a child of God and respecting all life. Embracing all our gifts from God and using them to serve Him and benefit others. |
CurriculumThe instructional program of Holy Family School encourages a child to progress at his/her individual rate of learning. The curriculum meets the requirements of the Minnesota Department of Education and of the Diocese of St. Cloud. We are fully accredited with MNSAA (Minnesota Non-Public School Accredition Association) and a member of the National Catholic Education Association. Our school has an all-day kindergarten through sixth grade program. The curriculum is interdisciplinary and covers the basic subject areas in addition to supplemental programs. This year, 255 students attend Holy Family School. There is one administrator, sixteen full-time teachers and sixteen support staff. Students, parents and staff make up a family that works in partnership with the parishes, community and surrounding areas.

The children have daily religion classes in which they learn about the teaching of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Second grade students are prepared by parents and teachers to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. All students are provided the opportunity to attend Mass. Students in second through sixth grade receive the sacrament of Reconciliation twice a year. It is our mission to spread God's word through our lessons, actions and words. |
